"The Children's Commissioner - Dame Rachel de Souza – works to ensure that children and young people are safe, and that their experiences are listened to by government and other adults that make decisions that impact their lives. She would like to hear from parents and carers in England about their concerns about their children's online lives, and her Office is inviting you to apply to attend one of two workshops this month to talk about it. The Commissioner wants to produce a useful guide for parents and teachers to use to help them support children to navigate the online world safely. We are speaking to children about the parts of the online world they most struggle to talk about with their parents. We also want to speak to parents and carers to find out what is most difficult to understand or discuss about your children's online experiences. We want to hear especially from parents and carers of children with additional needs, so we can understand what specific topics they would like support with, and what advice parents need to help keep these young people safe. We invite you to attend one of two workshops being held on Friday 19th September 12:30, and on Wednesday 24th September 6pm."
